1. Harrison Ford Hospitalized After Crashing Small Plane Near Los Angeles

Harrison Ford was injured when the World War II-era single-engine plane he was piloting crashed on a golf course near Santa Monica, California.

Ford, 72, was forced to make an emergency landing at Penmar Golf Course, just west of Santa Monica Municipal Airport, at 2:20 p.m. PST Thursday after the engine of the Ryan ST3KR plane he was flying failed, said NTSB and Los Angeles fire officials. He was taken to a nearby hospital in "fair to moderate" condition, said Patrick Butler with the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Ford was "banged up" and receiving medical care, said his publicist, Ina Treciokas, who described the actor's injuries as non-life threatening.

2. Suspected Palestinian Attacker Injures 5 in Jerusalem

A suspected Palestinian motorist rammed his car into a group of people near an Israeli police station in east Jerusalem on Friday, injuring five before being shot and wounded by guards, the police said.

Police spokeswoman Luba Samri described the assault as a "terror attack."

The attacker plowed onto the curb next to the police station in east Jerusalem, running over five people, including four officers, Samri said. The guards fired at the vehicle from the entrance to the station, she added.

3. Jodi Arias Trial: Why Jury Couldn't Reach a Verdict

All but one of the jurors tasked with deciding convicted killer Jodi Arias’ fate wanted to sentence her to death, they revealed after the judge declared a mistrial.

There was one female juror who refused to sentence Arias to death for killing her boyfriend Travis Alexander, leading to an impasse and the hung jury.

“Eleven of us strived for justice for Travis, but to no avail,” one of the jurors said in a group audio news conference this morning. “We absolutely thought [the punishment] should be death.”

4. As World Moves on, MH370 Families Find Solace in Each Other

For the past year, Wang Zheng has been avoiding one place: the modest apartment where his parents had been living for more than 20 years in downtown Nanjing until they vanished along with the ill-fated Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

Scrolls of paintings by his father, Wang Linshi, are in piles in the living room, the guest bedroom, and the studio. Paintbrushes — their heads long dry — hang from a workstation in a row. In the kitchen, the floor and stove have collected a thin layer of dust.

Wang Zheng, the only son of Wang Linshi and Xiong Deming, said he only comes into the apartment in this eastern Chinese city when absolutely necessary.

"I spend as little time as possible," the 30-year-old said. "It's uncomfortable here. I always dream about my parents after coming here."

Like other relatives of the 239 people that disappeared aboard MH370 in the early hours of March 8, 2014, Wang has gone through an emotional roller coaster that has hurled him through grief and hope, guilt and anger over the past year.

5. Craig Sager and His Colorful Style Return to the NBA Sidelines

The man in the colorful clothes was back on the NBA sidelines Thursday.

Longtime Turner Sports sideline reporter Craig Sager – best known for his outlandish, garish outfits – returned for his first NBA game in 11 months Thursday, working the Chicago Bulls’ game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Sager, 63, hadn’t worked a game since April, when he was diagnosed with leukemia.
