1. Girl Undergoes Liver Transplant Months After Twin Sister Gets Transplant From Dad

Binh Wagner underwent the lengthy surgery sometime in the last month, according to officials for the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.

It has been 15 years since Elian Gonzalez, asleep in his aunt's Miami home when he was 6 years old, was taken into custody by U.S. federal agents.

Elian was the center of an epic battle between the United States and Cuba over where the boy should live out the rest of his childhood.

3. US Resident Details Journey on Storm-Battered Cruise Ship

Ada Rojas was relieved to be on dry, stable land again.

Rojas, speaking to ABC News in a Skype interview, said the waves broke some of the ship’s windows and damaged items such as satellite dishes, along with frames and artwork. The ship’s passengers were forced to get creative and resourceful due to the choppy conditions, she said.

“I was too scared to leave my room. Even trying to walk down the corridors, it was very hard. You kind of had to stabilize yourself and hold on to what you could,” Rojas said.

Tinkerbell, the constant canine companion of celebrity Paris Hilton, has died at age 14.

Hilton announced the dog’s death on social media, posting a series of photos in memory of the teacup Chihuahua.

“I feel like I've lost a member of my family. She was such a special & incredible soul,” Hilton wrote. “We went through so much together. I can't believe she's gone. I will miss her & think about her for the rest of my life. I love you Tinky, you are a Legend & will never be forgotten.”
