1. Mom Says She Was 'Lunch Shamed' by School for Packing Oreos for Daughter

Leeza Pearson was out of fruit and vegetables one day last week, so she tucked a pack of Oreos in her daughter Natalee's lunch and sent her off to school at the Children's Academy in Aurora, Colorado.

Pearson said she was stunned when her 4-year-old came home later in the day with the cookies untouched and a sternly worded note from the school.

Crowds cheered Thursday as a teenage boy was pulled, dazed and dusty, from the wreckage of a seven-story Kathmandu building that collapsed around him five days ago when an enormous earthquake shook Nepal.

The teen was carried out on a stretcher, his face was covered in dust. Medics had put an IV drip into his arm and a blue brace had been placed around his neck. He appeared stunned, and his eyes blinked in the sunlight.

Nepalese rescuers, with support from an American disaster response team, had been working for hours to free the teen.

3. Baltimore Appears Calm During Overnight Curfew

A television broadcast showed a fight breaking out in a small crowd of demonstrators less than half an hour before the curfew was to go into effect, but police in riot gear massed to control the protests stood by as community members calmed the crowd.

While the public has come to know former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle as the most lethal sniper in U.S history, his wife, Taya Kyle, says there was another side to him that hasn’t yet been seen.

In an exclusive interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts, Taya Kyle described the intimate world she shared with her husband and their children.

“There is so much more to him,” Taya Kyle told Roberts. “It was my chance to share some of that side too, ‘cause I think ... he's earned it.”
