A slate of governors, senators and other presidential contenders is set to gather in Cleveland to debate each other for the first time this election cycle. Donald Trump has solidified his lead over the GOP pack, leading Jeb Bush by at least 11 percentage points in the last four recent national polls.

2. Former South Korean First Lady Lee Hee-ho Travels to North Korea

The widow of South Korea's ex-president Kim Dae-jung is visiting North Korea for a four-day trip.

Lee Hee-ho, 93, was personally invited by North Korean ruler Kim Jong-un and is accompanied by 18 delegation members, including professors and pro-unification activists, according to her late husband's foundation, Kim Dae-Jung Peace Center. The trip begins Wednesday and concludes on Saturday, Aug. 8.

Kim Dae-jung had spearheaded South Korea's active stance towards amending relations with the North. He had met with Kim Jong-un's late father Kim Jong-il in June 2000.

3. Super Typhoon Soudelor Hits Saipan: A Look at the World's Biggest Storm

Super Typhoon Soudelor, the biggest storm of the year, is barreling through the Pacific Ocean.

Soudelor reached a record low pressure of 900 millibars, making it the strongest storm of the year, according to the Japanese Meteorological Agency.

The previous lowest pressure was March's Super Typhoon Maysak, which was recorded at 910 millibars.

4. Drone Dropping Drugs Over Prison Yard Sparks Brawl at Mansfield Correctional Institution in Ohio

A prison brawl in Ohio was sparked in an unusual way -- after a drone flew over the yard and dropped drugs and other contraband, according to an incident report.

The mayhem broke out on July 29 just after 2:30 p.m. at Mansfield Correctional Institution in Mansfield, Ohio.

According to the report, surveillance footage showed a drone that "passed over the recreation yards immediately before the fight began."

5. How Mr. Coffee Inventor Convinced Joe DiMaggio to Be Pitchman

The creator of the famed Mr. Coffee machines died Saturday at age 91, but one of his favorite stories was how he roped in the famed former Yankee Joe DiMaggio to be a spokesman in the mid-1970s.

"It was during the early days of Mr. Coffee and he felt he had a tiger by the tail," Sue Parente, the daughter of creator Vincent Marotta, said of her father, who died at his home in Pepper Pike, Ohio. "Sales were good, but to really make it a national brand, they needed a spokesman who people could relate to."
