1. Hillary Clinton Directs Team to Turn Over Private Email Server to Justice Department

Hillary Clinton has directed her staff to give the Department of Justice the private email server that she used during her tenure as Secretary of State, a spokesman said.

Clinton's team has also turned over a thumb drive containing emails that has already provided to the state department, according to a campaign official.

The move comes amid a federal investigation into the security of the server and whether there was classified information in the emails.

2. Arlington Police Fire Officer Who Killed Unarmed Football Player Christian Taylor

Police in Arlington, Texas, have fired the officer who shot and killed an unarmed football player in Texas and the cop now faces a criminal investigation, according to the department's chief.

Officer Brad Miller exercised "inappropriate judgment" and was also cited for "failing to communicate with his fellow officers" and "creating an environment of cascading circumstances," in the death of Christian Taylor, 19, according to Police Chief Will Johnson.

Miller now faces a criminal investigation by the Tarrant County District Attorney, police said.

3. After 2 Nights of Tension, a Peaceful Protest in Ferguson

Police outnumbered protesters along West Florissant Avenue in Ferguson on Tuesday night, perhaps signaling the demonstrations around the anniversary of Michael Brown's death are starting to fade.

The crowd of around 100 demonstrators was mostly calm and peaceful. Occasionally a few people would march or start a chant, but they spent most of several hours milling around and chatting with one another.

4. Beaten Pomeranian Found With Note: 'We Beat It 2 Death Lol'

The beating death of a Pomeranian named Fox may have been eclipsed by the hand-written note left behind: "We beat it 2 death lol HAHAHA!"

Ronald Boisvert, Fox's owner, said his 13-year-old family pet disappeared Friday afternoon when his girlfriend let him out at their Pembroke Pines condominium. On Saturday morning, Boisvert was awoken by a "frantic knock" from a neighbor who said Fox was lying near Boisvert's condo with the note on top of his body.

"I was devastated," Boisvert said. "He was a very friendly dog."

5. Drone Video Captures Bruising Mid-Air Encounter With Eagle

An Australian drone user had an unexpected encounter with a feisty raptor when the drone he was piloting was hit by an eagle flying at full speed.

"It survived," Adam Lancaster said about his drone, "but I need $100 in parts to get it going again."

The Wedge-Tailed Eagle also survived the impact, according to Lancaster, who said she "hovered over to make sure we had learned our lesson."
