Timelapse Video: Metro Riders Face Rushing Waters at Flooded DC Station
DC Metro riders navigated a cascade of water during yesterday's commute.
-- This remarkable time-lapse video shows some serious flooding at a DC Metro station during a thunderstorm Tuesday evening.
Riders at the Cleveland Park station in Washington were forced to wade through ankle-high water as rain rushed into the station from the street above, cascading down the escalators.
People in clothes ranging from summer shorts to full-on suits tried their best to avoid getting soaked. One woman in the video had to lug her roller bag through the newly formed river. Other riders simply stood at the top of the escalator stunned, taking photos or calculating how to maneuver past the rushing water.
