Ana made landfall Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.

— -- Tropical Storm Ana made landfall along the South Carolina coast today, nearly three weeks before the Atlantic Hurricane Season officially begins.

Ana was expected to continue to bring gusty winds to the Carolinas today as the storm was expected to bring 2 to 4 inches of rain along the coastline. The threat of minor coastal flooding and rough surf was also forecast to continue. The storm was expected to weaken throughout the day before slowly dissipating as it headed northward.

The last storm to make landfall in May was Tropical Storm Beryl in 2012.
