United Airlines Is Bringing Back the Free Snacks

Complimentary snacks will be offered on North and Latin American United flights.

— -- You are now free to snack throughout the cabin.

Previously, flights within North America and the Caribbean only offered snacks for purchase and only some trips in Latin America featured a free dining option, a United spokesperson said.

The airline announced the free snacks as it continues preparations to bring their new style of coffee to flights worldwide next summer.

On flights departing before 9:45 a.m., United will offer passengers a complimentary morning Stroopwafel, a Dutch, caramel-filled waffle. Flights taking off after 9:45 a.m. will offer an Asian-style snack mix or a zesty-ranch mix of mini pretzel sticks, Cajun corn sticks and ranch soy nuts.

A spokesperson with United Airlines said the snacks announced today will be offered on all flights that do not already have complimentary meals and snacks.
