— -- Dramatic video shows Good Samaritans rushing to the scene of a fiery crash to rescue people trapped inside a car that hit a Metro bus in South Los Angeles on Monday.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said two Los Angeles Police Department officers and another witness rescued two victims, a man and a woman, who were trapped inside the burning Mercedes before firefighters even made it to the scene.

Fire officials said the Metro bus and a total of four vehicles were damaged in the wreck, and seven people were injured. Six of those patients were transported to local hospitals. The driver of the Mercedes suffered third-degree burns and was in critical condition, officials said.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, though authorities are investigating whether street racing was a factor, police said.
