Astrophysicist Stephen Hawking Says Aliens Almost Certainly Exist; Do You Agree?
"World News" wants to know what you think.
April 26, 2010 -- Renowned British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking said Sunday that he believes in extraterrestrial life but thinks it would be unwise for humans to contact aliens.
In his new Discovery series, "Into the Universe," Hawking said intelligent alien life almost certainly exists, even speculating on the shape of creatures that could exist on other planets and moons.
Hawking also said it would be dangerous for humans to try to contact the aliens, warning that visitors from other planets could be bad news for humans. He likened an alien visit to Earth to Christopher Columbus's arrival to the Americas, "which didn't turn out very well for the Native Americans."
Our question to you today: Do you believe in aliens?
