Survey Finds Women in Control at Home
See how you and your partner stack up to the national survey results.
Sept. 25, 2008 -- The results of a new Pew Research Center survey found that in 43 percent of couples, women make more decisions than men. The study found that when it comes to most decisions, women have the final say.
The Pew Research Center's Survey explored decision-making in the home, as well as public perceptions of gender roles. They found that more women call the shots at home compared to men.
The survey asked 1,260 married couples: "Who manages finances?" "Who make decisions on major purchases?" "Who decides what you watch on TV?" and a range of other questions. See the full survey questionnaire.
