'Boy Meets World' star Danielle Fishel welcomes 2nd child
She explained the significance of her newborn son's name.
"Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel has announced the arrival of her second child.
In an Instagram post shared over the weekend, the actress, 40, revealed she and her husband, Jensen Karp, welcomed their son, Keaton Joseph Karp, on Aug. 29.
Alongside photos of baby Keaton and his older brother, 2-year-old Adler, Fishel wrote about the significance of her newborn son's name.
"He was born on his deceased grandfather Larry's birthday (like I prayed for!) and his middle name is an homage to his great grandfather who is still here to meet him at almost 98 years old," she wrote.
"Adler is a super(hero) big brother and @jensenkarp and I are thrilled to have him home, healthy and safe, with us," she added. "Also, Adler thinks my postpartum care tools are a lot more fun than I do."
Fishel announced her pregnancy on her 40th birthday in May.
"I couldn't be more grateful to enter my 40's with my amazing husband and son, excitedly expecting the arrival of baby boy #2," she wrote in an Instagram post. "My birthday wish is for all of you to tell someone how much you love them and walk through today with more patience than you normally might."
Fishel and Karp welcomed their first child, Adler, four weeks early in June 2019. Fishel gave birth after doctors discovered fluid in her son's lungs during an ultrasound.
Adler was held in the neo-natal intensive care unit for three weeks, and Fishel said she and her husband felt "powerless and useless" during this time.
