Brandy teases fans that a 'Moesha' reboot may be in the works
"It just makes sense. I mean, I wanted to see what Moesha was up to."
It was only earlier this month that Netflix added the 90s sitcom "Moesha" to its lineup and guess what, it's a hit again.
It's perfect timing too because the show's lead, Brandy Norwood, just revealed that fans could potentially look forward to a reboot.
Speaking with "Entertainment Tonight," the 41-year-old singer and actress said, "I am in talks right now with the right people for that to happen. I don't see it not happening because of the success on Netflix. It just makes sense. I mean, I wanted to see what Moesha was up to."
Brandy also emphasized that it's important that shows like "Moesha" continue to be made.
"We need to see that. We need to see a Black family," she explained. "I think that's crucial right now, and it was crucial then."
For now, Brandy is enjoying being able to watch the show with her 18-year-old daughter Sy'Rai.
"I don't really have a lot of memory of 'Moesha' because I was so young and it was happening so fast. So to be able to watch it with my daughter is just so special for me," she said.
