Dolly Parton recreates her 1978 Playboy cover at 75 years old
The singer wanted to do something special for her husband's birthday.
County music legend Dolly Parton said she has accomplished her goal of becoming a 75-year-old Playboy bunny.
The "Jolene" singer shared a video of herself dressed in a bunny suit and bow tie on Tuesday, noting that the costume was part of a special surprise for her husband, Carl Dean.
Because Playboy has ceased print publication, Parton said that she took it upon herself to recreate her 1978 cover for Dean's birthday.
"I did a little photoshoot in this little outfit and I had a cover made," she said. "He still thinks I'm a hot chick after 57 years and I'm not gonna try to talk him out of that."
Parton was 32 years old when she appeared on the cover of Playboy, and in March 2020, the actress said that she hoped to do it again. A few months later, Parton said in a separate interview that she'd had conversations with the magazine about it.
"I just might do it. If I can do it in good taste and they [Playboy] want it, we'll do it along with a really good interview inside," Parton said. "So, yeah, it's possible."
