'Fast and Furious 10' to race into theaters in 2023
The Justin Lin-directed action movie was originally slated to open April 2.
Universal has set an April 7, 2023 release date for "Fast & Furious 10," the penultimate film in the Fast Saga.
The Justin Lin-directed action movie was originally slated to open on April 2, 2021, but was replaced by "F9: The Fast Saga" because of delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"F10" was later pushed back to June 25.
The cast has not been revealed yet, but fans expect many of the franchise's stars, including Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Michelle Rodriguez and more to return for "F10."
In an interview with BBC earlier this year, Lin spoke more about the franchise ending with the 11th film.
"We can't always feel like we're going to go on forever ... with the Saga, I feel like it's the right choice, the right move," he told the outlet.
He continued, "For Dom, the family and the Saga, it deserves an ending. And the sense of finality is very appealing to me personally. It probably would be good for everybody."
"F9: The Fast Saga," released in June, grossed more than $170 million here in the states and more than $500 million worldwide.
