Helen Mirren shows off blue hairdo at Cannes Film Festival
The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival kicked off Tuesday.
Dame Helen Mirren stepped out on the red carpet at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival donning a new hairdo.
While attending the opening ceremony for the screening of the festival's opening film, "Jeanne du Barry," the "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" star walked the red carpet at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France, and showed off a blue hairstyle to match her blue gown.
Mirren paired her look with matching earrings, a necklace and a black fan with the hashtag #WorthIt.
Her husband, film director Taylor Hackford, was also by her side.
Mirren was among many stars who attended the "Jeanne du Barry" premiere on Tuesday. Others who attended were Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas, Brie Larson, Uma Thurman, Elle Fanning, Naomi Campbell, "Jeanne du Barry" actor Johnny Depp and more.
The upcoming period film is directed by Maïwenn and follows the relationship between French King Louis XV and his lover, Jeanne du Barry, according to a synopsis of the movie. Maïwenn also stars in the movie as Jeanne du Barry.
The Cannes Film Festival will continue through May 27.
