Melissa McCarthy shows support for Mariska Hargitay after her surgery with hilarious video

Hargitay loved her friend's gesture following her ankle surgery.

Melissa McCarthy just proved she's the friend everyone needs while recovering from surgery.

On Tuesday, the "Bridesmaids" star shared a video to support fellow actress Mariska Hargitay as the "Law & Order: SVU" star is currently recovering from ankle surgery.

In the video, McCarthy stands on the side of a street holding a sign that reads "Honk if you're PRAYING for Mariska Hargitay's recovery!!!"

She captioned the hilarious clip, "If you can't produce quality care for your friend after ankle surgery, the next best this (sic) is obviously standing outside Wienerschnitzel with a sign @therealmariskahargitay ❤️💥"

Hargitay loved the gesture, reposting McCarthy's video with the caption, "Above and beyond. Honk if you're blown away by @melissamccarthy's heart and humor."

"Might be worth breaking my ankle for," she added.

The "SVU" actress has dealt with quite a few injuries this year. In July, she shared a photo of her bandaged foot, captioning the shot, "My summer look," with the hashtags "#breakingnews," "#specialankleunit" and "#cantcatchabreak," among others.

She didn't disclose how she was injured.

In May, the 57-year-old also revealed she'd broken her knee and fractured her ankle. In an Instagram post, she told her followers, "Just so you know this did NoT happen at work!"
