Priyanka Chopra talks children, quarantining with husband Nick Jonas
The couple have been married for two years, having tied the knot in 2018.
While COVID-19 lockdowns have tested marriages worldwide, Priyanka Chopra said she and husband Nick Jonas have found a silver lining.
"Quarantine gave us the ability to spend a lot of time together, which I'm really blessed by," the 38-year-old actress told The Sunday Times. "Because with both of our careers it's hard to find that kind of time."
Before the global pandemic shut down the entertainment industry, Chopra was filming the recently released Netflix movie "We Can Be Heroes" while Jonas, 28, was touring the world as part of the Jonas Brothers' Happiness Begins Tour, which wrapped up in February.
Chopra also spoke about Jonas' openness to her Indian culture and said their 10-year age gap has not been a challenge.
"Neither was a hurdle. Nick took to India like a fish to water. But just like a normal couple, you have to understand each other's habits and what each other likes," the "Quantico" alum said. "So it's more of an adventure than trying to figure out hurdles. None of it was really that hard."
"It's so comforting to find a person who is in your corner," she added. "Whatever I may be in my professional life or how the world perceives me, I'm just a girl trying to live her life in the best way possible, and I'm so grateful to have a partner in doing that."
Chopra also teased that they are thinking about starting a family, telling the outlet, "I do want children, as many as I can have."
Jonas and Chopra's whirlwind romance began in 2018. The two started dating, became engaged and got married all during that year.
