Thomas Rhett takes trip down memory lane on anniversary with Lauren Akins
"Basically I remember it all so vividly," Rhett said of their relationship.
Thomas Rhett celebrated his 11th wedding anniversary to Lauren Akins by taking a trip down memory lane.
The "Die a Happy Man" singer took to Instagram on Oct. 12 to share a sentimental post dedicated to his wife, whom he married in 2012, on their special day, featuring photos of them embracing.
"11 years married to this amazing woman," he began. "I can still remember what she looked like in first grade. I still remember how much taller than me she was at church camp in 6th grade. I still remember picking her up on our first date at 16. I still remember how fast my heart was beating when she walked down the aisle."
Rhett continued, "Basically I remember it all so vividly."
"I can't believe how much life we have gotten to share together," he added. "@laur_akins you have been and always will be my best friend. I thank God for you every single day. I love you so much. Thank you for loving me and everyone you know so well. Happy anniversary."
Rhett ended his heartfelt post by writing "you+me+4," referencing the couple's four children, daughters Willa Gray, Ada James, Lennon Love and Lillie Carolina.
Akins took to Instagram to share a post of her own, posting both a silly and serious family photo of the crew at the beach.
"what 11 years with you looks like🤍," she wrote. "happy anni cutie 🥰."
