Tia Mowry shares message to moms after 68-pound weight loss: 'Do you!'
"I’m very proud that I did it my way, and in my time," she wrote.
Tia Mowry wants to assure new moms that there are more important things to worry about than weight.
The actress wrote in an Instagram post Tuesday that she's lost 68 pounds since giving birth to her second child in May 2018, and she's "very proud that I did it my way, and in my time."
Instead of focusing on her figure, Mowry said, "I enjoyed breast feeding and spending quality time" with her children. The star said there is no reason for any woman to feel that she has to "snap back" to her pre-baby body immediately.
"To all the women who are feeling pressured after birth. Do YOU! Do what makes YOU proud and do it in YOUR time. Not anyone else's," she wrote.
Mowry, 42, and her husband, actor Cory Hardrict, 40, have two children: Cree, 9, and Cairo, 2. Earlier this month, the actress shared a photo of her kids, gushing in the caption that their relationship "puts the biggest smile on my face and just melts my heart."
"This is why #motherhood is so rewarding," she wrote. "Seeing the #love that these two have for each other. It's so #beautiful to witness."
