Tim Tebow enjoying 'extended honeymoon' with new wife under quarantine
"I think I like him more now."
If there’s one positive takeaway from the COVID-19 quarantine, it’s that some people have been able to spend much-needed quality time with their loved ones. Case in point: Tim Tebow and Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters.
The couple, who were married Jan. 20 in Nel-Peters’ home country of South Africa, recently reached their three-month wedding anniversary in lockdown.
“It’s been like a prolonged honeymoon,” the New York Mets player, 32, told E! News’ Jason Kennedy over Instagram Live.
“It’s been good,” the 24-year-old former Miss Universe chimed in. “People ask us how married life’s been. Well, we’ve been in quarantine for most of it!”
The twosome admitted they’ve seen more of each other in the past few weeks than probably “ever” before in their relationship, prompting Kennedy to ask Nel-Peters if her opinion of Tebow has changed at all given that fact.
“I still like him a lot,” she replied with a laugh. “I think I like him more now.”
It must also help, too, that the pair have three new dogs to keep them on their toes amid the lockdown. They recently adopted three 8-week-old puppies and created an Instagram account for them called “The Tebow Pack.”
The canine companions -- a Dalmatian named Paris, a golden retriever named Kobe and a Bernese mountain dog named Chunk -- are Tebow’s first pets since he lost his canine companion Bronco late last year.
