Tom Hanks adorably crashes couple's beach wedding
The couple said he gave them "a lot of positive words and good love advice."
One California couple not only enjoyed a nice sunny day for their beach wedding, they also received the surprise of their life when Tom Hanks crashed the ceremony.
Diciembre and Tashia Farries told Los Angeles ABC station KABC they were exchanging vows on the beach in Santa Monica when the "Forrest Gump" actor unexpectedly walked up to congratulate the happy couple.
The Farries recalled Hanks, 65, telling them he had been admiring their ceremony from afar. The actor also asked to take a photo with the couple. "He asked if he can take a picture with us and gave us a lot of positive words and good love advice," Tashia said.
Hanks even had a special connection with Diciembre, whose late brother shared the same birthday as the two-time Oscar winner. A photo of Diciembre's brother, who was born on July 9 like Hanks, was placed on one of the chairs so he could still be part of their wedding.
"My brother passed away back in 2017. So, it was very special to know that out of all people that could have been on Santa Monica beach that day, it was Tom Hanks," Diciembre said. "And we just kind of feel like that was my brother Dante's way of letting us know that he was there."
