Bride gets surprise Barefoot Contessa-themed party and how easy was that?

Ina Garten wanted to know what she wasn't invited and frankly so do we.

Having an Ina Garten bachelorette party was "the next best thing" to having the Barefoot Contessa there in the flesh for one New York City bride-to-be.

The idea to have the guests dress as Ina (and her husband, Jeffery), dine on her food and even superimpose a photo of bride Nikki Garvey on one of the superstar's book covers was the brainchild of the bride's family and friends.

"I'm an avid home chef and my friends and I have been fans of Ina for years," Nikki Garvey told "Good Morning America." "We've always wanted to meet her so my sister Jessica Ritter and friend Tanya Qureshi came up with this Ina dinner party as the next best thing. It was such a shock when I opened my eyes, it was totally overwhelming and hysterical to see 12 Ina's sitting there. They even played the show's theme music as I entered."

A caterer was hired to prepare some of the chef's signature dishes: french onion dip, blinis with smoked salmon, skillet lemon chicken, asparagus bundles with prosciutto and strawberry rhubarb crumble.

Turns out even Garten herself was impressed by the soiree.
