Easy butter chicken, lentil soup, smoothies and more recipes for Ramadan
A food blogger and YouTube creator shared a lineup of dishes and drinks.
As Muslims observe the month-long Ramadan holiday, one food creator has found a unique way to focus his recipes to stay healthy when fasting and only eating at night.
YouTube Shorts creator Ahmad Alzahabi of The Golden Balance shared a few of his easy-to-make recipes for Ramadan.

Crispy Delicious Brussels Sprouts
Ingredients
1lb Brussels sprouts
1 1/2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon hot honey
2-3 tablespoon olive oil
Seasonings
1 teaspoon each garlic, onion, salt, pepper, paprika, smoked chipotle powder
Oil your pan, toss on the sprouts and oven bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes flipping mid way through.
Superior Chicken and Rice
3 cups stock or water (add more salt if water)
4 chicken thighs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Seasonings:
1 teaspoon each chili powder, paprika, garlic, onion
1/2 teaspoon rosemary, thyme, oregano
Salt to taste
Directions
To start, marinade the chicken thighs in olive oil and the listed seasonings. Toss them into a hot pan with oil to brown their exterior.
Remove the chicken from the pan and add washed basmati rice to the remaining flavored oil. Add water or stock, more seasonings, and bring to a boil.
When the mixture is boiling, re-add the chicken thighs and cover. Drop to a simmer and cook until the chicken is at 185F internal.
After the rice and chicken are done, top with the listed chopped vegetables and enjoy!
Lentil Soup
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion
1 russet potato
1 cup shredded carrots
1 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup red lentils
Optional: zucchini
5-6 cups chicken stock for a thicker soup
Note: Use 7-8 cups chicken stock for a more liquidy soup

1 inch of ginger
1 teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoon Garam masala
2 teaspoon salt
Cook in 1 tablespoon ghee

1/2 cup milk (depending on preference)
1 teaspoon cardamom
Sunrise Sunset Smoothie
Ingredients
5 ounces mangos
5 ounces pineapples
8 ounces orange juice
