Fall hair trends 2021: Curtain bangs, natural curls and more
Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson breaks down the latest looks.
We are about a month away from fall and one way to step into the new season with style is upgrading your hairstyle.
While sunny summer days will soon be behind soon, cooler days are ahead and it's the perfect time to try out a new cut, color or completely new 'do.
If you aren't sure what to try or what to do with your strands, not to worry! "Good Morning America" tapped celebrity hairstylist and owner of Starring by Ted Gibson salon, Ted Gibson, to break down the latest and greatest hair looks for fall.
"It's all about breaking the rules. Whatever really feels good for you in a trend, adopt it and make it your own," he told "GMA."
According to Gibson, everything from sultry curtain bangs as seen on Jennifer Lopez to gorgeous natural curls like Tracee Ellis Ross's will be huge this season.

Experimental color
Try adding in pop of lavender like Kelly Osbourne has worn previously. "I think it's a really great time to take risks," said Gibson. "I think it's time to do something a little bit different." He also mentioned that experimental color can wash out in as little as five shampoos.
Mid-length bob cut
Kourtney Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen have been showing off shorter, cropped hair cuts and it's the perfect time for it.
It's also an easy, breezy way to refresh your look.
Curtain bangs
Curtain bangs have been blowing up all over TikTok with the trend banking over 830 million views. Above, TikTok user Hazel Graye showed off her amazing version of the look.
"What's really incredible about curtain bangs is that it helps to bring out your eyes," said Gibson. "It helps to accentuate the cheekbone. And it's kind of like bangs without commitment."
Enhanced natural texture
More and more woman continue to embrace their natural curls and this will continue into the next season.
If you're going natural, Gibson recommends using a curling iron to define curls and cut down on frizz.
