Ted Danson honored with Carol Burnett Award
Three-time Golden Globe winner Ted Danson received the Carol Burnett Award, which honors his prolific career in entertainment, at an event on Friday.
Danson's expansive career includes starring roles in "Cheers," "The Good Place" and "A Man on the Inside."
Danson shouted out the award's namesake, Carol Burnett, who was in attendance at the event, in his acceptance speech.
"I am so thrilled to get this award, Carol. I cannot tell you how much it means to me," he gushed. "You have brought so much joy and happiness into households all over the world. You radiate kindness. I love you so much."
Burnett returned the admiration, yelling "I love you" from the audience.
Danson is also expected to be recognized during tonight's ceremony.
