Courtney Love remembers Kurt Cobain with emotional message on their 28th wedding anniversary
"This man was an angel," Love wrote about her late husband.
Courtney Love paid tribute to her late husband, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, on their 28th wedding anniversary Monday.
Sharing a photo from their wedding in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1992, Love reflected on how grateful she was to marry Cobain at the time.
"I recall feeling deeply, delighted, dizzy, so in love, and knowing how lucky I was," the singer and actress wrote. "This man was an angel."
She also explained that she could feel her late husband watching over her since his passing.
"I thank him for looking out for me, many parts of the the last 28 years have been torturous, chaotic and uphill, and in public?" she detailed.
"That is the darkest s--- imaginable, it almost tapped my resilience ... but between Kurt’s strange amazing divinity and the honor of a few true friends, the gift of desperation and sobriety of a Higher power and of love, and of empathy, I’m here now," she continued.
Love added "it’ll be ok" and she will "see him on the shore ... rocking in the free world."
She also shared a tribute to Cobain last week, on February 20, to mark what would have been his 53rd birthday.
The iconic musician died by suicide in April 1994 at age 27. The couple had one child together, Frances Bean, who is now 27.
