RBG, Zoom and Fauci: These pumpkin carvings are so 2020
It's been a scary, scary year.
Suzy Mink is an artist. Her preferred medium? Pumpkins.
It's a perfect pastime this time of year -- for Mink and for the people who get to see her masterpieces. And though 2020 has been a scary year for many, it's given the Washington, D.C.-based Mink plenty to work with.
One of her best creations is one born from a sad event: a carving of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Other works inspired by 2020 events are carvings of COVID-19, Dr. Anthony Fauci in a face mask and a Zoom meeting.

Mink's been carving pumpkins for more than 10 years. She told "Good Morning America" some of her all-time favorites are the Lincoln Memorial and Aretha Franklin. She said she chooses subjects for "their relevance today, historical significance or just plain fun."
