'Good Wife' Creator Says 'There Is a Chance' of Spinoff
As the series comes to an end, fans may get more of the political drama.
— -- "The Good Wife" may be ending after seven seasons next month, but fans could get more of the CBS political drama.
Co-creator Robert King said "there is a chance" of a spinoff during a panel discussion at the Tribeca Film Festival Sunday night.
"CBS seems to be very motivated. They like these characters, but they also like the world and all these subsidiary characters, so there may be a chance," he added, according to E! News.
The show's creators -- King along with wife Michelle -- also addressed rumors that actor Josh Charles would return in a flashback scene before the series ends May 8.
Fans of the show may remember that Charles' character Will Gardner was killed off in season five.
"I've heard that rumor," Michelle King said during the panel discussion, which also included the show's star Julianna Margulies, who plays junior litigator Alicia Florrick, along with her co-stars, Matt Czuchry and Cush Jumbo.
"I heard that Peter is going to be starting another affair," she quipped. "I heard that Alicia and Eli kissed. I heard that Alicia and Jason ran off happily together. And I heard that Michelle Obama guest starred. And I will tell you that one of those is true."
She did say that whoever returns, the series finale will be "satisfying, uplifting and sad" for viewers.
