— -- "Mob Wives" star Angela "Big Ang" Raiola has died after a battle with cancer. She was 55.
"I am saddened to say that [at] 3:01 am Ang lost her battle with cancer. She passed peacefully surrounded by friends and family. My heart is broken for her whole family - especially her children and grandchildren and I will never forget her," the reality star's rep Jennifer Graziano told ABC News in a statement.
The rep added, "Her presence brought sheer happiness to anyone that was around her and I am honored to have called her a friend. Please respect her family's privacy at this time as they mourn the loss of such an amazing woman."
Earlier in the month, it was revealed that Raiola was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer. She had been undergoing treatment earlier in the year.
But the chemotherapy was not working and a GoFundMe page from Raiola's sister explained, "One tumor grew larger and the other tumors had no change."
In addition to the statement from her rep, close friend Vinnie Medugno confirmed Raiola's passing.
"YOU, (her fans) were some of the most special people in her world, and she loved you immensely," he wrote on Raiola's official Twitter account.
