Ryan Reynolds Confirms 'X-Men' Spinoff 'Deadpool' Movie Is Finally Happening

In 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," Marvel fan favorite Deadpool made his first appearance played by the very witty, snarky Ryan Reynolds.
Shortly after that film, it was announced the A-lister would be getting his own spinoff movie. That was almost six years ago!
The Canadian actor, 38, got everyone excited Thursday when he tweeted an image of his former character, with the caption "Uh... It's Chimichanga Time."

Deadline confirmed the news that Fox is close to closing the deal on the movie featuring the Marvel great, who often breaks the fourth wall -- basically he talks to the audience and ignores all the rules of print and cinema. Sound like any actor you know? Yeah, basically this was the role Reynolds was born to play.
Tim Miller will direct and production begins in March, according to Deadline.
Deadpool's known as "The Merc with a Mouth.” Think Van Wilder with a sword.
