Now to the mystery of a high school valedictorian who disappeared on vacation, hiking in ecuador. He is being called a kidnapping victim. And his parents spoke out exclusively to abc news. Abc's david right has the story. We're walking on a trail that comes from just by the hotel, right up there. Reporter: Chris reeger points out the spot of the trail where he last saw his 18-year-old son. They stopped and took a picture of august. Reporter: August hiked ahead and vanished. Disappeared. Reporter: When was that? Father's day. Reporter: Authorities have searched the hillside for ten days and found no trace of him. He just disappeared. We don't know anything more. Reporter: The family is now hoping he was kidnapped. But there's been no ransom demand. This weekend someone reported seeing a boy that looked like august miles away. Some girl had seen his picture. Called and said, somebody looked like him. Reporter: On a pickup truck, headed into the jungle. August reiger was valedictorian of his high school class in oklahoma city. He had just gone to the prom with his girlfriend. Has a scholarship to college in the fall. And the family now doing everything they can to find him. I'm taking it moment by moment. Moment by moment.
