May 29, 2014— -- Consider it the modern version of the children's game books you loved in the 1980s and 1990s.

Fans can now choose their own adventure on Vine, hopping from video to video thanks to a fun new series called AdVINEture.

“I grew up with the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ books,” said Ian Padgham, a video producer and former Twitter employee who created the series.

“People seem to love them; they’re a blast,” Padgham, 32, added. “I’d love to do more. They take a lot of time. For just one of these you need at least 20 to 30 Vines.”

Padgham’s game isn’t the only one that has tried to bring “Choose Your Own Adventure” into the digital age. The game has been adapted for YouTube and Twitter, too.

It appears the retro game is making a comeback. Even actor Neil Patrick Harris recently said his autobiography will be in “Choose Your Own Adventure” style.
