August 13, 2010— -- There's trouble on the road to recovery as July's worse-than-expected jobs numbers raise fears that the economy is grinding to a halt.

"This Week" anchor Christiane Amanpour talks with Banking Committee member Republican Senator Bob Corker, former New Jersey Governor and former Goldman Sachs Chairman and CEO Jon Corzine, member of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board, Laura D'Andrea Tyson, and Martin Regalia of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce about the struggling economy and how to get America back on track. When will jobs return? Why is the housing sector still sluggish? What can be done to inject confidence into the economy? Is government the solution or the problem?

Then, we'll get the latest from Pakistan on the catastrophic flooding and the massive humanitarian crisis that's unfolding there with ABC's Jim Sciutto on the ground with U.S. military forces providing assistance.

Plus our roundtable with ABC's Cokie Roberts, political strategist Matthew Dowd, Chrystia Freeland of Reuters and David Ignatius of the Washington Post will discuss the crisis in Pakistan, how Russia's severe drought and wildfires are triggering a global food crisis, Iran's nuclear program, the winners and the losers in this week's primaries, and all the week's politics.

You won't want to miss it.
