— -- Sydney Bourbeau decided to sing Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" for a school fundraiser at the West Edmonton Mall.

She never expected that the singer would appear to join her on stage for an impromptu duet.

“I was like, 'Should I stop?' I didn’t want to stop, but I wanted to talk to him,” she told the Edmonton Journal. "This is, like, the best thing that’s ever happened to me."

Sheeran, 24, just happened to be at a music store in the mall at the time, the newspaper reported. After he left the stage, his manager texted Bourbeau and offered her two tickets to his concert.

“I was so happy that he did that,” said the tearful teenager, who added that she's been a fan of Sheeran for years. “It was incredible.”
