— -- In the wake of Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin announcing their departures from "Fashion Police," E! said the show will go on hiatus until September.

In a statement on Tuesday, the cable network said it was looking forward to "taking this opportunity to refresh the show before the next awards season."

"Our talented co-hosts Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, along with Executive Producer Melissa Rivers, will continue their roles as we evolve the show into its next chapter for the legions of Fashion Police fans around the world," the brief statement concluded.

E! had previously said "Fashion Police" would return March 30 with Rancic and Goreski.

Last Thursday, Griffin revealed in a message posted on social media she was leaving Fashion Police after seven episodes. The comedienne, who had replaced the late Joan Rivers, said, "I discovered that my style does not fit with the creative direction of the show & now it's time to move on."

Two weeks earlier, E! announced that Osbourne had exited the program to "pursue other opportunities." Her departure came after she publicly objected to a joke made by Rancic about Zendaya on a post-Oscars episode of the show. Rancic said the Disney star's dreadlocked hair on the Oscars red carpet looked like they smelled like "patchouli oil" or "weed."

Rancic later issued an apology, which Osbourne acknowledged on Twitter.
