George Clooney 'Couldn't Be Happier' With Married Life

— -- From renowned bachelor to married man, George Clooney couldn't be happier.

The Oscar winner gushed about married life to wife Amal Alamuddin Clooney at the weekend premiere of his new film "Tomorrowland."

"It's fun," he told E! News on the premiere's blue carpet. "It's really fun."

George and Amal Clooney were married in Italy last September.

While acknowledging that he once dismissed the idea of ever marrying again, Clooney, who turned 54 last week, told E!, "There were all the jokes and the bits and I get all that stuff, but I couldn't be happier right now. I wake up in the morning and I think, 'This couldn't be better.'"

Clooney can't stop talking about his new bride these days.

"She's an amazing human being and she's caring," he recently told "Entertainment Tonight". "And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humor. There's a number of reasons why [I fell in love]."
