‘GMA’ Goes Inside ‘General Hospital’’s Nurses Ball
The annual event promises to feature plenty of intrigue.
— -- The annual Nurses Ball, a glamorous fictional charity event on the iconic ABC soap opera “General Hospital,” airs this week, and ABC News’ correspondent Abbie Boudreau was invited to join the fun.
The Nurses Ball is like one big family reunion for all the cast members who participate. Boudreau was cast to play herself, covering the red carpet for the event dedicated to HIV/AIDS awareness and research.
The gala is attended by the characters in the fictional city of Port Charles.
This will be the first Nurses Ball for Dr. Griffin Munro – played by actor Matt Cohen.
Laura Wright, who plays Carly Corinthos in the soap, gave Boudreau some insight into the episode.
“Carly’s a little scrappy at this Nurses Ball, with a very big mission to protect her man,” Wright said.
The episode will feature red carpet fashion, musical performances and plenty of intrigue and drama, according to the ABC Television Network.
