ABC News confirmed with the network that the television special will air this summer and feature how the children have grown up in the spotlight, along with the latest on Gosselin's career.
It's been two years since we last saw the famous family and the kids have really grown. The sextuplets -– Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah, and Joel -– are now 9, while Mady and Cara are 13.
There is no word if Jon Gosselin will be featured. The children's father divorced Kate Gosselin in 2009 and has been critical on how reality TV is not good for the children and their development.
"Kate wants to still be on television," he told Philadelphia Magazine in December. "She's now digging into the past, because that's what sells."
"Jon & Kate Plus 8" started in 2007. Jon Gosselin left the show in 2009 after the couple's split -- and the show became "Kate Plus Eight" in June 2010. The show ran until late 2011.
Jon Gosselin also returned to reality TV back in January on Season 4 of VH1's "Couples Therapy" with his girlfriend Liz Jannetta.
