Kelsey and Kayte Grammer Welcome Son Auden

— -- Kelsey Grammer and his wife Kayte have welcomed their newborn son Auden James Ellis, the actor's representative confirms to ABC News.

"The name was chosen to honor the great poet W.H. Auden, and James is after another great poet and singer James Taylor —- two of our favorites," the couple explained in a statement.

This is the seventh child for the Emmy winner and former "Frasier" star, whose other children include actresses Spencer and Greer.

The baby was born Monday, Nov. 14 weighing 7 lbs, according to People.

"Both mother and son are doing great," the rep said.

Kelsey and Kayte have been together for several years and married in a 2011 New York City ceremony. The couple are also parents to daughter, Faith, and son, Kelsey Gabriel. Grammer's four other children are from previous relationships.
