Kendall Jenner on Life After 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians'
The 19-year-old reality star is quickly rising in the modeling industry.
— -- Kendall Jenner grew up in front of the cameras on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," but she can imagine a day when the cameras are no longer following her.
"It’s actually really hard for me to think of," she told GQ about her life without "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." "But that day will come, and it’ll be fine. Everything that happens is still going to happen, just minus the cameras."
For now, this is the life Jenner knows.
"I was 10 years old when the TV show started. I don’t remember what it was like before," she said.
Jenner, 19, explained that she and her younger sister Kylie were "placed in" the show.
"We didn’t have a say. It was in our home. There was no way we couldn’t be on it," she said.
But if she didn't choose it the first time, Jenner has certainly chosen it now. She, along with her other family members, mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian, recently signed on for another four years of the show for a reported $100 million.
At the same time, her modeling career is taking off. Jenner, who is quickly becoming a fixture on the runway and just landed a Calvin Klein jeans campaign, recently moved into her own Beverly Hills condo -- paid for with her own money.
"I didn’t do it because I felt like I had to prove something," she told GQ of her modeling career. "This is a career that I’ve always wanted. And I mean, what else would I be doing? I probably would have gone to school to get the degree to go to work, when work was already there."
But she is keeping the reality show cameras away from that part of her life.
"I told them from the beginning, I was like, 'Okay, love you guys, but we’re not gonna do this. You’re not gonna follow me to shows, you’re not gonna be with me on this ride.'"
