Lea Michele Dishes Up Healthy Food and Beauty Secrets
She shared some of her snacking and beauty secrets to staying gorgeous.
May 19, 2014 -- It’s always interesting to hear what a celebrity eats to stay looking so darn good. Lea Michele shared some of her snacking and beauty secrets to staying gorgeous today on “Good Morning America.”
“These are my go-to’s,” she said, referring to healthy snacks like grapes and cheese puffs. “You’d be surprised –- if you were to go to your grocery store, a lot of your favorite snacks there have healthy alternative, like cheese puffs instead of Cheetos. I started taking more time at the grocery store rather than grabbing what I always go for.”
The brunette bombshell goes into deeper detail in her new lifestyle book, “Brunette Ambition,” but we have some of her favorite recipes and at-home beauty routines below.

Mark’s Hair Masque:1 cup of coconut oil (an excellent moisturizer composed of tiny molecules – molecules so tiny, in fact, that they can penetrate the shaft of the hair)1 tablespoon of almond oil (essential fatty acids)1 tablespoon of jojoba oil (moisturizer)1 teaspoon of vitamin E oil (lubricant)1 teaspoon of carrot oil (only use a drop or two if you’re blonde, since it can stain hair)
Lea’s Energy Drink:For a great energy boost, blend three leaves of kale (destemmed and torn or chopped), one handful of spinach, 4 pieces of celery, the juice of two lemons, and a chopped up apple. Advanced juicers tend to cut out the apple and add a few leaves of romaine or a handful of parsley instead.
