— -- Happy 15th birthday, "Legally Blonde"!

To celebrate the legacy of the classic film, Elle Woods herself put out a request to all fans to “share pictures of you wearing pink, a picture of your pet, your law degree -- anything that reminds you of 'Legally Blonde.'"

In honor of the big day, Reese Witherspoon spoke about the film in a Q&A posted to Instagram.

“I have had so many women say to me, ‘I went to law school because of "Legally Blonde,"’” she said, describing the movie as a “pivotal moment in feminism.”

Witherspoon also spoke about how her role as Elle Woods impacted her career. “I owe so much to the creation of that character. She’s a big part of who I am as a person. I put a lot of myself into that -- a positive person who is trying not to let other attitudes bring her down,” she said. “I am really proud of what we created.”

And of course, as promised, Witherspoon broke down the beloved “bend and snap” for her Instagram audience with a quick video. In her interview, Witherspoon added, “I have a feeling I will be doing the bend and snap until I am 95.”
