The 2022 Oscars have come to a close.

"CODA" was the big winner of the night, taking home the Academy Award for best picture, while Jessica Chastain and Will Smith won best actress and actor in a leading role.

Winners who made history Sunday night included "The Power of the Dog" director Jane Campion, who became the third woman to win best director, and Troy Kotsur, who became the first deaf man to win an Academy Award for acting.

Much of the night’s attention will undoubtedly be on Smith after a confrontation with Chris Rock on stage after the comedian said made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.

All eyes on Lin-Manuel Miranda, Troy Kotsur for potential historic wins

Lin-Manuel Miranda is one step closer to achieving EGOT status after earning an Oscar nomination in the best original song category for “Dos Oruguitas” in the film, “Encanto.” Earlier this month, the “Hamilton” creator said he finds the honor "thrilling and intimidating," calling everyone who has ever earned an EGOT “pretty amazing.”

"CODA" Actor Troy Kotsur could also make history tonight. He is up for best supporting actor for his performance in the film and could become the first deaf man to earn an acting Oscar with the win. He told ABC News last month that he is “extremely honored" to be nominated.

He has already made history at several other award shows this season, including the Critics Choice Awards, BAFTAs and the SAG Awards.
