Meet the 8-Year-Old Boy Who Shoots Like Golden State Warriors Star Steph Curry
Jack Jeffery sunk two half-court shots in a championship game.
— -- Jack Jeffery is in second grade and stands just 4 feet, 6 inches tall.
You would never guess the 8-year-old California boy sinks half-court shots just like Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry.
Jack led his Blue Devils basketball team to victory Saturday in a championship game in Pacific Palisades, California, by sinking two half-court shots in the game's final seconds.
Jack scored his first three-pointer with his team down by three points with six seconds left in the game.
With the game deep in overtime, Jack sunk his second half-court basket with just one second left on the clock.
"My friend, Jimmy, his dad didn't think I would do it," Jack told ABC News' Nick Watt.
Jack's dad, Colin Jeffery, described the moment.
"Clean, swoosh, straight through," he said of the basket. "And the place erupted. It was amazing."
The two baskets were not just a lucky happenstance for Jack. He makes the long shot fairly frequently.
"You have to hold your form," said Jack, who added that he always believes he will make the basket.
"I want to be an NBA player," he said.
