— -- Oscar host Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka always knew they wanted to live in New York City, and when Harris began to wrap up "How I Met Your Mother" in 2013, they began their search for a new home.

Finally, they found it: A townhouse that gave Burtka "that feeling." After a year's worth of renovations, they finally moved in last year, along with their children, twins Gideon and Harper, 4, and their two dogs, and now, they're showing it off in the new issue of Architectural Digest.

“Getting married, moving, new jobs—we did all the things they say can ruin a relationship,” Burtka told the magazine of his whirlwind 2014 with Harris.

“The funny thing is, we’ve never gotten along better!” added the Tony winner.

The five-story home, built in the late 19th century, is not only big enough to accommodate the actors' family, but also, it has street-level space for Harris' production company's offices and a screening room.

With two stage actors in the family, it's no surprise that the Burtka-Harris home has a music room. In it, guests will find an Annie Lapin painting and a Yamaha player piano.
