— -- Olivia Wilde looks as beautiful as ever -- but almost a year after giving birth, the actress says her body still hasn't bounced back.

"I am not in perfect shape. In fact, I’m softer than I’ve ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot," she told Shape magazine for its April cover.

"The photos of me in this magazine have been generously constructed to show my best angles and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced. The truth is, I’m a mother, and I look like one.”

Still, the "House" star, 31, said she "can’t wait to do it again" after welcoming son Otis last April with her fiance Jason Sudeikis. She wants more kids, even though she got pretty graphic when describing how she felt after the first time.

"For a couple of weeks after ... you are the walking wounded," she added. "That gorgeous bump you proudly paraded around town for some 40 weeks has only retreated slightly after the birth. Now it’s a lot like a partially deflated pool toy. After giving birth, I joined the ranks of millions of new mothers when I moaned, 'Why do I still look pregnant? Is there another one stuck in there?'"

But Wilde says the weight does eventually come off and "breast-feeding helps, in the most intense way."

"Your belly starts to go down. Your thighs become slightly less thunderous. Finally, you are ready to change out of sweatpants, but when you manage to button your jeans (thank you, stretchy denim), the button clasp gets swallowed up and lost in your gelatinous Stay Puft Marshmallow Man belly," she joked.

Though she wants to get back into the gym, she would rather spend her time with Otis.

"I knew the exercise was a crucial element of 'me time,' but it felt like leaving a karaoke bar to go take a physics exam. If I wasn’t at work, I just wanted to stay home and party with my little man," she said.
