Michael J. Fox played Marty McFly in "Back to the Future." In the film, McFly is accidentally sent back to 1955 in a plutonium-powered DeLorean "time machine" invented by mad scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). During his trip back in time, McFly must make sure his parents fall in love, thus ensuring his existence in the future.

Lea Thompson plays Lorraine Baines McFly, mother of Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) in the "Back to the Future" film series. "It's really fun to be able to show a movie to your kid and have them like it and it's something that you grew up with," Thompson told USA Today.

Actor Christopher Lloyd attends the "Back to the Future" 25th anniversary trilogy Blu-Ray release Oct. 25, 2010, in New York City. Lloyd played Doc Brown, the inventor of the first time machine. Of his onscreen chemistry with Michael J. Fox, Lloyd said, "It was just there. Like any wonderful relationship, it just existed. We didn't have to work for it or worry about it. It was inherent, you know? And just great casting."
