Sofia Vergara Shares Her Diet and Fitness Secrets

The "Modern Family" star shares her fitness and diet secrets.

— -- Sofia Vergara has one of the most envied bodies in Hollywood, if not the world.

However, the "Modern Family" star said that it takes a lot of work to stay so svelte.

“Everyone knows that I’ve never been into working out. I was always very happy with what I have,” Vergara, 40, told Shape magazine. "Then I hit 40 and I started seeing a softness everywhere on my body."

The actress quickly took charge, ramping up strength training with her trainer. Now, she does Lagree Method workouts, which are Pilates-inspired, and uses a Megaformer machine. She also takes classes, including SLT -- Strengthen, Lengthen, Tone.

Vergara is also vigilant about her diet, avoiding processed foods and stocking up on homemade vegetable juices.

Her vice? Sweets.

"I heard about someone in LA who got hypnotized so they wouldn’t eat candy. I’m seriously looking into that because I'm obsessed," she said. "When I do indulge, I exercise a bit harder the next day. My workout motto is really simple: No pain, no cake!"
