Report: Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson Dating

Sept. 22, 2006 — -- Hollywood gossips are all atwitter with reports that recently separated actress Kate Hudson and her "You, Me & Dupree" co-star Owen Wilson are dating.

The 37-year-old Wilson was seen visiting the 27-year-old Hudson and some of her friends at her house in Pacific Palisades, Calif., on Sunday, according to the current issue of People magazine.

Later that evening, the two were spotted hanging out at the Beverly Hills Hotel's Polo Lounge, sources told the magazine. They had drinks, and at one point asked that a bamboo divider be placed around their table for privacy.

"The chemistry between them, the electricity, was palpable," an eyewitness told People. "They really looked into each other, despite the fact that they were among other people."

A few weeks ago, the stars denied that they were seeing each other. But reports of the relationship have nevertheless persisted, with several magazines claiming the stars were spotted together a week ago in Hawaii.

Wilson's rep said he has "no comment on his personal life." Hudson's spokesman did not return a call from ABCNEWS.com.

"This is not just a fling. Kate is crazy about him. Owen gives her so much attention, and she loves it," a source told Us Weekly. The magazine claims that Hudson and Wilson kept their relationship platonic while filming the romantic comedy, but a romance blossomed in June, when the two began the press junket for the film.

Hudson announced her separation from Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson in August. They have a 2-year-old son, Ryder.

Wilson, who starred in last year's smash hit "Wedding Crashers," has never been married.

"I'm single despite what people say," he told the World Entertainment News Network in August. "I think, hopefully, that I'll meet someone that I'll want to have a family with. That's what I would like."
